I'm a Missionary!!

It's official! I got set apart this week as a full-time missionary, and it has been the greatest week of my life! 

I will report to the Provo MTC on Tuesday. The MTC stands for the Missionary Training Center, and this is where missionaries go to learn more about the gospel before they start teaching. Because I am also learning Thai, I will be there for about 8 weeks before I go to Thailand. I have been doing some training over Zoom this week, and I got to meet so many amazing people that I will learn with. I am SO excited to meet them in person on Tuesday!

It amazes me how well God knows each and every one of His children! There are seven other missionaries going to Thailand. This group is called my district. They are exactly the kind of people I need to help me through this next little bit of my journey. They have easily already become some of my best friends. It is by divine design that we are all in the MTC together. God loves us so much! I know that He puts people in our lives so that we can have joy!

Shout-out!
All my life I have been SO blessed to be surrounded by people with such Christ-like attributes. These Children of God have been a great example to me, and I would love to share their amazing qualities that bring them closer to Christ. 

This week's shout-out is my cousin, Elder Hall! Elder Hall is an absolute STUD, and he is currently serving in Mongolia. One of the Christ-like attributes I look up to most is his diligence. Before his mission, he was one of the hardest-working people I have ever met. I have no doubt that this skill only magnified once he got out in the field! Elder Hall has always been diligent in his work and his study of the gospel. I know that this is a big part of the reason he finds so much joy in being a missionary! When we are diligent, the Lord blesses us with joy. He magnifies our efforts and gives us more strength than we could ever imagine. Thank you for being such a great example of the Savior, Elder Hall! I love you!!

Last Week of MTC!!!

Good morning everyone! I hope everyone is doing well! This week has been amazing!! We only have about 3 more days here, which is CRAZY, and then we're off to Thailand!! This week I've been thinking a lot about my family. Growing up, they always taught me to be the first ones to start working and the last ones to leave. I learned to always "ask for your next job" until the work was completed. Whether it is doing service projects, cleaning up ward activities, or working on the playhouse, we always strive to follow that motto.  In the Book of Mormon, the brother of Jared and his family were living in a place called Moriancumer. THAILAND!!

Helloooo from Thailand!! I am so sorry I don't have a lot of time today, but I will try to send a longer email next week! It's official! I got here last week, and it's been crazy but so so good! My trainer's name is Sister Skidmore and she is absolutely AMAZING! I am so so blessed to be with her, and she knows literally everything haha. I am so excited to learn from her! I am in Hua Hin and I LOVE the people here! The hardest part has been the culture shock. But I have found so much comfort in the Spirit! "for the Spirit is the same yesterday, today, and forever." - 2 Nephi 2:4 No matter where we are, the spirit and the gospel are the same for all of God's children. I have never been more grateful for this truth, but I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ is the only way to find true peace because His Spirit is consistent and constant.  I love you all!! Hello everyone!!  I wanted to thank you all for the thoughtful emails you sent me this week. They completely turned my week around and helped me feel so much love and positivity. I am so incredibly blessed to have friends and family like you supporting me while I am gone. Thank you for following the promptings of the Spirit. What may have seemed like small gestures to you were huge miracles in my life. Thank you for being such amazing examples to me! I love you all!! This week has been a rollercoaster! But so so good!! I love my district more and more every day, and it is so hard to imagine being a missionary without them.
