Provo MTC!

Good morning brothers and sisters! I hope you are all doing well and loving life!!


On Tuesday, I arrived at the Provo MTC where I will be learning about the gospel of Jesus Christ for the next 8 weeks! I know that last week I said it was the best week of my life, but this week REALLY has been the best week of my life!! I absolutely love it here, and I am so grateful for all of the amazing teachers and leaders who are giving up their time for me. 

Brothers and sisters, this week I have felt so incredibly welcome everywhere I go. I wasn't expecting such a strong feeling of love and welcoming so early on. On Thursday, we met our Branch President. A branch president is kind of like a bishop, but for a group of people that isn't large enough to have a full ward. As soon as I stepped into the room, his wife wrapped her arms around me and told me how much she loved me. She told me how excited she was that I was there, and completely welcomed me with open arms. People like her have made the transition so much sweeter.

Brothers and sisters, the love that I have felt here is so unconditional! It has helped me understand Jesus Christ's love for us just a little bit more. I challenge you all to love more unconditionally this week. Welcome everybody into your home! Those that are similar, different, have other beliefs, or that you don't know. And love every single person with open arms. I promise that as you do this more in your life, your capacity to love will grow! And you will come to know our Savior in a new way.

This week I want to talk about the one and only Chrissy Blickenstaff! Chrissy was one of my young women's leaders in my home ward. She is an absolute angel here on earth. Two of the many Christ-like attributes I see in her are charity and love. Chrissy is one of the most welcoming people I have ever met and she is a beautiful example of someone who loves unconditionally! Chrissy has been there for me when I feel lost and alone. She builds my confidence when it feels like I have none. Chrissy is an example of the Savior as she treats everyone she meets with the deepest love and respect. Chrissy's life is far from easy, although many people may assume that it is. She turns outward every single time, even when it often comes at a sacrifice to her. I love you, Chrissy! You have been there for me in some of the hardest times. Thank you for living in the ways of Christ.

Last Week of MTC!!!

Good morning everyone! I hope everyone is doing well! This week has been amazing!! We only have about 3 more days here, which is CRAZY, and then we're off to Thailand!! This week I've been thinking a lot about my family. Growing up, they always taught me to be the first ones to start working and the last ones to leave. I learned to always "ask for your next job" until the work was completed. Whether it is doing service projects, cleaning up ward activities, or working on the playhouse, we always strive to follow that motto.  In the Book of Mormon, the brother of Jared and his family were living in a place called Moriancumer. THAILAND!!

Helloooo from Thailand!! I am so sorry I don't have a lot of time today, but I will try to send a longer email next week! It's official! I got here last week, and it's been crazy but so so good! My trainer's name is Sister Skidmore and she is absolutely AMAZING! I am so so blessed to be with her, and she knows literally everything haha. I am so excited to learn from her! I am in Hua Hin and I LOVE the people here! The hardest part has been the culture shock. But I have found so much comfort in the Spirit! "for the Spirit is the same yesterday, today, and forever." - 2 Nephi 2:4 No matter where we are, the spirit and the gospel are the same for all of God's children. I have never been more grateful for this truth, but I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ is the only way to find true peace because His Spirit is consistent and constant.  I love you all!! Hello everyone!!  I wanted to thank you all for the thoughtful emails you sent me this week. They completely turned my week around and helped me feel so much love and positivity. I am so incredibly blessed to have friends and family like you supporting me while I am gone. Thank you for following the promptings of the Spirit. What may have seemed like small gestures to you were huge miracles in my life. Thank you for being such amazing examples to me! I love you all!! This week has been a rollercoaster! But so so good!! I love my district more and more every day, and it is so hard to imagine being a missionary without them. I can't wait for these next 10 days together!  Probably the hardest part about being in the MTC is not having children in my life! I miss them sooooo much!
