First Week Down!

Hello everybody!! I hope you all are doing so well! To all those getting ready for the new semester, good luck! You're gonna kill it!


Life here is so so GOOD! Holy cow I am falling more and more in love with Thailand every single day. I feel so incredibly blessed to be here and meet so many amazing people.

Like I said last week, I am in an area called Hua Hin. It is a biking area and it's right by the beach. It's pretty much perfect and all I could ever ask for. The people here are incredible and so so kind. The food is amazing. And the beach is WONDERFUL, haha.

This week we met พี่พุก (Pook). We met him while we were trying to meet with another one of our friends. He recognized us as religion teachers and got super excited! He knows a lot about our religion and just loves it! He has come to English class, game night, and Sacrament meeting all since we found him. He is super excited to get baptized and we have him on date in about a month! It is amazing how God really does put people in your path who are just waiting for an opportunity. They are completely ready and as we listen to the promptings of the spirit, we will be lead to them.

I know that as we pray for opportunities to love and serve wherever we are in life, the spirit WILL lead us to those opportunities. 

I am SO blessed to be here. God really does know His children.

Character of Christ
Today I want to talk about Isaac Dorton. Isaac is one of my best friends from high school and I admire him a lot. He is so so good at loving unconditionally and loving without judgement. He sees the best in everyone. This attribute is one of my favorites about Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ sees us as our BEST! He doesn't view us as the times we mess up and aren't perfect. He sees the best in us and sees all of the potential ahead. Thank you Isaac for being a great example of this in my life. I love you! I miss you! Keep being you!

Last Week of MTC!!!

Good morning everyone! I hope everyone is doing well! This week has been amazing!! We only have about 3 more days here, which is CRAZY, and then we're off to Thailand!! This week I've been thinking a lot about my family. Growing up, they always taught me to be the first ones to start working and the last ones to leave. I learned to always "ask for your next job" until the work was completed. Whether it is doing service projects, cleaning up ward activities, or working on the playhouse, we always strive to follow that motto.  In the Book of Mormon, the brother of Jared and his family were living in a place called Moriancumer. THAILAND!!

Helloooo from Thailand!! I am so sorry I don't have a lot of time today, but I will try to send a longer email next week! It's official! I got here last week, and it's been crazy but so so good! My trainer's name is Sister Skidmore and she is absolutely AMAZING! I am so so blessed to be with her, and she knows literally everything haha. I am so excited to learn from her! I am in Hua Hin and I LOVE the people here! The hardest part has been the culture shock. But I have found so much comfort in the Spirit! "for the Spirit is the same yesterday, today, and forever." - 2 Nephi 2:4 No matter where we are, the spirit and the gospel are the same for all of God's children. I have never been more grateful for this truth, but I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ is the only way to find true peace because His Spirit is consistent and constant.  I love you all!! Hello everyone!!  I wanted to thank you all for the thoughtful emails you sent me this week. They completely turned my week around and helped me feel so much love and positivity. I am so incredibly blessed to have friends and family like you supporting me while I am gone. Thank you for following the promptings of the Spirit. What may have seemed like small gestures to you were huge miracles in my life. Thank you for being such amazing examples to me! I love you all!! This week has been a rollercoaster! But so so good!! I love my district more and more every day, and it is so hard to imagine being a missionary without them. I can't wait for these next 10 days together!  Probably the hardest part about being in the MTC is not having children in my life! I miss them sooooo much!
