I Love Being a Missionary!

This week has been so amazing!! I love the MTC! It's starting to get a little bit repetitive, but I LOVE my district, which helps a ton. We do everything together, and I am going to miss them soooooo much when we go to Thailand. But I can't wait to go to Sister Schefer's cabin together when we get home...

This week, I have been thinking about joy and comfort. I am learning more and more that true joy and comfort do not coexist! God wants us to be our happiest, and He cares more about our growth than our comfort. And only through this growth can we really find true joy.

But we are not alone! God has sent Jesus Christ to help us in every single trial we go through. He has also given us the Holy Ghost to bring us peace. I know that as I grow through what I go through, I will be the best and happiest version of myself that I can be!

Character of Christ
This week I want to talk about my dad. First of all, happy birthday, Dad!! (I'm sorry I'm late) I love my dad! A big reason why I am on a mission is because of my dad. While he isn't the reason I decided to serve a mission, he is a big reason why I am ABLE to serve a mission. My dad has taught me so much throughout my life. He has taught me these things through experience, opportunity, and example. My dad is a firm believer in growth and experiencing things that help you grow. It is so cool to recognize how this is a common theme between both my Heavenly Father and my earthly father. My dad has given me many opportunities to learn and grow my perspective on life. I feel very spoiled to grow up in such a loving family that supported me while I discovered my divine identity as a Child of God. I love you Dad. Thank you for raising me in such a way that allows me to work hard for the Lord and His children. I love you, Dad! I would give anything to go on a Harley ride with you right now!
