Thailand is soooo Close!
Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing well! I love you all so much and I am so greatful for your emails! They always make me smile.
This week has been really hard. And I've been starting to worry about all the hard days to come. I know that the next year and a half are going to be filled with hard days, but I also know that they are going to be filled with the most rewarding days.
On Wednesday, I was really struggling. I was feeling very discouraged and scared. It was hard to see the joy in my life. My beautiful companion had the amazing idea to do our personal study in an area surrounded with flowers. For those who don't know, I LOVE flowers (which is probably why the Lord sent me to Thailand). I was walking around the little garden, looking at the careful details of each flower when I started to cry. I felt an immense love from my Heavenly Father. And in that moment, I was reminded of all the beauty in my life. Instead of being scared for the hard days, I know that I can be excited for the beautiful ones! I know that God will put beauty in my life every single day. I just need to look for it.
Character of Christ
This week, I want to talk about Ally Smith. Ally is my best friend's sister-in-law, and she is an incredible example of a disciple of Christ. She has been such a positive influence to me and has blessed my life in countless ways. Two of the many Christ-like attributes Ally has are wisdom and love. Wisdom and love are both powerful attributes of Christ, but they are even more powerful when they work together. Ally has a special gift of conveying her wisdom through love, just as Jesus Christ has. I admire how she works so closely with the spirit in everything she says. Ally sees everyone as their true divine identity: Children of God. Her testimony of this truth has strengthened my own, and I am so grateful for her beautiful example.
I love you all so so much!!
Have a great week!
- Sister South
