Music!
Good morning everyone! Holy cow, time is FLYING, and I can't believe it's p-day again. This week was soooo fun! We had zone conference, which is always a party, filmed for the next music video, and got to help a member work on her yard. The branch here is so so amazing, and it just felt like a big family service project. It was so special!
At zone conference, our Mission President's wife gave an amazing training on music and how we need to use it more! She talked about the benefits of using music in our work, with our companions, and during our scripture study.
For me, music is one of the quickest ways to invite and feel the Spirit into my life. Hymns are also the Word of God! And studying them helps us understand the gospel so beautifully and simply. I LOVE the new hymn, "Anytime, Anywhere"
I can pray to my Heavenly Father
Anytime, Anywhere
For He always cares,
And He hears my prayers
Anytime, Anywhere
I can listen for Heavenly guidance
Anytime, Anywhere
The Spirit will guide
As I seek His light
Anytime, Anywhere
Isn't that amazing! It teaches such a beautiful truth so simply. And with the companionship of the Holy Ghost, these simple statements can build firm testimonies. In our mission, I have many opportunities to use music in the Lord's work, and I am so grateful! I have seen how effective it is, and how it helps convey our Savior's love in a way that nothing else can.
I encourage you all to use this gift more! Use it to grow your personal conversion with Jesus Christ as well as teach your family and friends. I promise that Heavenly Father loves you and wants to connect with you
Lots of love!

Character of Christ
This week I want to talk about someone who has helped me develop my love for music! Erin Wilson was my most recent vocal coach before I left on my mission, and she is absolutely incredible! One Christ-like attribute I admire in her is her diligence. She taught me through her example and teachings to work hard. She helped me learn that improvement is not easy, and we need to practice diligently, little by little, every day. This is the same with our faith! Our belief and hope in God does not come all at once. We need to consistently put in effort to slowly gain the knowledge and abilities we desire. I love you Erin! Thank you for encouraging me to serve a mission!
