Baptism!

Hi everyone! Sorry, this is going to be a short one. This week was so busy and so good!

พี่อึ่ง was baptized! Most members in Thailand are the only Christians in their family, and พี่อึ่ง was no different. The amount of confidence she has in Jesus Christ inspires me! She has so much courage to become a member and follow Jesus Christ. More often than not, I find that my actions are inspired by others around me. Whether that be my family or friends. While these people often inspire me to act righteously, I want all of my actions to be inspired by Jesus Christ. I feel very grateful for His perfect example, which I strive to follow every day. 

Sometimes it is hard to be different! I admire พี่อึ่ง's bravery, and have learned a lot from her. I invite you all to try and follow Jesus Christ this week 100%! It will be hard! But I promise that as we sacrifice worldly comforts and make the gospel of Jesus Christ a priority, we can experience true happiness. A form of happiness we might not recognize at first, but that will soon fill our souls with true peace and joy!

Last Week of MTC!!!

Good morning everyone! I hope everyone is doing well! This week has been amazing!! We only have about 3 more days here, which is CRAZY, and then we're off to Thailand!! This week I've been thinking a lot about my family. Growing up, they always taught me to be the first ones to start working and the last ones to leave. I learned to always "ask for your next job" until the work was completed. Whether it is doing service projects, cleaning up ward activities, or working on the playhouse, we always strive to follow that motto.  In the Book of Mormon, the brother of Jared and his family were living in a place called Moriancumer. They had put a lot of work into building up their home there, and they were very comfortable and content. THAILAND!!

Helloooo from Thailand!! I am so sorry I don't have a lot of time today, but I will try to send a longer email next week! It's official! I got here last week, and it's been crazy but so so good! My trainer's name is Sister Skidmore and she is absolutely AMAZING! I am so so blessed to be with her, and she knows literally everything haha. I am so excited to learn from her! I am in Hua Hin and I LOVE the people here! The hardest part has been the culture shock. But I have found so much comfort in the Spirit! "for the Spirit is the same yesterday, today, and forever." - 2 Nephi 2:4 No matter where we are, the spirit and the gospel are the same for all of God's children. I have never been more grateful for this truth, but I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ is the only way to find true peace because His Spirit is consistent and constant.  I love you all!! Hello everyone!!  I wanted to thank you all for the thoughtful emails you sent me this week. They completely turned my week around and helped me feel so much love and positivity. I am so incredibly blessed to have friends and family like you supporting me while I am gone. Thank you for following the promptings of the Spirit. What may have seemed like small gestures to you were huge miracles in my life. Thank you for being such amazing examples to me! I love you all!! This week has been a rollercoaster! But so so good!! I love my district more and more every day, and it is so hard to imagine being a missionary without them. I can't wait for these next 10 days together!  Probably the hardest part about being in the MTC is not having children in my life! I miss them sooooo much!
