Goals

This week was FILLED with miracles!

As a mission, we have been talking about how we can access God's power and miracles in our work. When we push our goals past what we can do ourselves, that is when we can really see the Lord making up the difference. Because of this, we set a mission-wide goal to find 200 people in the first 10 days of this transfer! That meant that our companionship needed to find about 6 people, which is 4 more than we usually get haha. But we set our goals high, and our expectations even higher! Our mission found 354 new people to teach last week! 

These numbers might not make any sense to some of you, but just know that it was a MIRACLE! 

This week has changed my perspective on setting and working towards goals. When we allow God to help us, we can quite literally do anything. Nothing is impossible. We can become the person that God wants us to be. 

I challenge you all to set your goals with God, and allow His power to overcome your weaknesses and increase your strength. Whatever you are facing this week, I know it is possible through our Savior Jesus Christ!

Character of Christ
This week, I want to talk about my best friend Sister Southam! Sister Southam is one of the best people and missionaries I know! The people of Chile are extremely blessed to feel her love and Spirit. One thing that I love about Sister Southam is her work ethic. She works like a South! And she fits in so well with our family ;) 

Her diligence is inspiring to me. She does not have an easy mission, but she doesn't complain about it. She simply gets to work. Her encouragement and example have been one of the greatest strengths for me on my mission. This quality reminds me of our Savior Jesus Christ. His ministry was excruciating, yet He never complained. He was a humble servant to His Heavenly Father. He continued always out of love. 

Thank you, Brynn, for helping me come to know my Savior through your diligence and desire to be like Him. I love you!

Last Week of MTC!!!

Good morning everyone! I hope everyone is doing well! This week has been amazing!! We only have about 3 more days here, which is CRAZY, and then we're off to Thailand!! This week I've been thinking a lot about my family. Growing up, they always taught me to be the first ones to start working and the last ones to leave. I learned to always "ask for your next job" until the work was completed. Whether it is doing service projects, cleaning up ward activities, or working on the playhouse, we always strive to follow that motto.  In the Book of Mormon, the brother of Jared and his family were living in a place called Moriancumer. They had put a lot of work into building up their home there, and they were very comfortable and content. THAILAND!!

Helloooo from Thailand!! I am so sorry I don't have a lot of time today, but I will try to send a longer email next week! It's official! I got here last week, and it's been crazy but so so good! My trainer's name is Sister Skidmore and she is absolutely AMAZING! I am so so blessed to be with her, and she knows literally everything haha. I am so excited to learn from her! I am in Hua Hin and I LOVE the people here! The hardest part has been the culture shock. But I have found so much comfort in the Spirit! "for the Spirit is the same yesterday, today, and forever." - 2 Nephi 2:4 No matter where we are, the spirit and the gospel are the same for all of God's children. I have never been more grateful for this truth, but I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ is the only way to find true peace because His Spirit is consistent and constant.  I love you all!! Hello everyone!!  I wanted to thank you all for the thoughtful emails you sent me this week. They completely turned my week around and helped me feel so much love and positivity. I am so incredibly blessed to have friends and family like you supporting me while I am gone. Thank you for following the promptings of the Spirit. What may have seemed like small gestures to you were huge miracles in my life. Thank you for being such amazing examples to me! I love you all!! This week has been a rollercoaster! But so so good!! I love my district more and more every day, and it is so hard to imagine being a missionary without them.
