Miracles!

Hello everyone!! Happy February! January went by TOO fast, and I hope this month goes a little slower haha. 

We had transfers this week! I left Ayutthaya, which breaks my heart. I miss everyone soooo much already, but I know that the Lord will take care of them!

I am now in Nakhonsawan, an area outside Bangkok, and I am in a trio again!! My companions are amazing, and this transfer is going to be so, so good.

This week was FILLED with miracles! This week was Fast Sunday, which is my absolute FAVORITE day of the month! It is so special to be able to fast for our friends and members. I want to share one miracle that came from Fast Sunday this week. 

On my third day in the area, we visited our friend ยายกิมกิ่. She is about 80 years old and lives right by the church. The missionaries have invited her to church countless times before, but she has never come. She always says that she is too old to go, and too old to learn about Christianity. During our lesson, I shared that I was only 20 years old and that I should not be able to live in Thailand. However, through the power of God, He makes it possible for us to do anything He asks of us. My companions then shared how we are never too old or too young to partake of the joy of the gospel! We then sang "I Am a Child of God" together, and I felt the Spirit really strongly! The next 24 hours, I fasted for her. I prayed that she would act on the little nudges she felt from the Spirit to attend Sacrament Meeting. 

The next day, we went to pick her up, and she came with us!! She stayed for all of church and seemed to really enjoy it! I am so excited to continue to watch her act in faith and feel the blessings that come from the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

I know that Heavenly Father's plan for ยายกิมกิ่ is divine. I know that her decision to come to church yesterday is just one little aspect that we can see of her lifelong road to conversion. But I also know that the Lord answered our prayers. Brothers and Sisters, I know that the power of fasting and prayer are real! Heavenly Father hears every single prayer we give, and always, always answers. I challenge you all to pray with a sincere heart tonight, about anything at all. And then look for the answer! Because I promise that it will be there. Prayer really is a two-way communication, and I know that Heavenly Father is listening!

Last Week of MTC!!!

Good morning everyone! I hope everyone is doing well! This week has been amazing!! We only have about 3 more days here, which is CRAZY, and then we're off to Thailand!! This week I've been thinking a lot about my family. Growing up, they always taught me to be the first ones to start working and the last ones to leave. I learned to always "ask for your next job" until the work was completed. Whether it is doing service projects, cleaning up ward activities, or working on the playhouse, we always strive to follow that motto.  In the Book of Mormon, the brother of Jared and his family were living in a place called Moriancumer. THAILAND!!

Helloooo from Thailand!! I am so sorry I don't have a lot of time today, but I will try to send a longer email next week! It's official! I got here last week, and it's been crazy but so so good! My trainer's name is Sister Skidmore and she is absolutely AMAZING! I am so so blessed to be with her, and she knows literally everything haha. I am so excited to learn from her! I am in Hua Hin and I LOVE the people here! The hardest part has been the culture shock. But I have found so much comfort in the Spirit! "for the Spirit is the same yesterday, today, and forever." - 2 Nephi 2:4 No matter where we are, the spirit and the gospel are the same for all of God's children. I have never been more grateful for this truth, but I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ is the only way to find true peace because His Spirit is consistent and constant.  I love you all!! Hello everyone!!  I wanted to thank you all for the thoughtful emails you sent me this week. They completely turned my week around and helped me feel so much love and positivity. I am so incredibly blessed to have friends and family like you supporting me while I am gone. Thank you for following the promptings of the Spirit. What may have seemed like small gestures to you were huge miracles in my life. Thank you for being such amazing examples to me! I love you all!! This week has been a rollercoaster! But so so good!! I love my district more and more every day, and it is so hard to imagine being a missionary without them.
