The Hand of the Lord

Hi everyone! I just wanted to share a quick story from the week.

This week we had an amazing miracle! We went to the church to teach piano lessons, and our members were 30 minutes early! This was crazy because they are usually 30 minutes late, haha. We had our lesson early and then went with them to go teach one of our friends close to the church. Our friend wasn't there, but we saw two guys sitting in a truck. I had a prompting to talk with them and ask our member to share about Jesus Christ. I really didn't want to because I felt like we were already asking a lot of the member to come with us, and our friend wasn't even there. But the Spirit helped me recognize that it was a prompting and not just a thought. So we started talking to them, and I asked our member to share her testimony. She seemed caught off guard and really nervous. But the longer she spoke, the more confident she became. It was really cool to see her joy grow as she testified! We then found out that we were talking to our friend's brother and son! This was a huge miracle because we have been trying to get to know her family better. And having a member there was super helpful in showing them that our church wasn't just an American religion. What I love most about this miracle is that not only did we have to be in tune with the Spirit, but so did our member to come so early to piano lessons! This experience really strengthened my testimony of the importance and power that comes with working with members. And helped me see that the Lord is always, always, always in the work.

Character of Christ
This week I want to talk about my dearest friend Sister Barker! She is one of my best friends in the whole world, and is preparing to leave on her mission to Guam! She is such an inspiring light to me for many reasons. But the Christ-like attribute I admire most in her is her hope. She is one of the most positive people I have ever met and has so much hope for the future! I believe that a big reason she is so uplifting to others is because of her positivity, hope, and faith for a bright future! Hope is one of the best ways to share Christ's love because He is hopeful! He has faith in God's plan, and has hope for all of God's Children. He has a perfect hope for your eternal happiness! Thank you, Sister Barker, for helping me understand the Savior's hope for me by displaying His hope through you! I love youuuuu! Just keep being you, and you will be an incredible missionary.

Last Week of MTC!!!

Good morning everyone! I hope everyone is doing well! This week has been amazing!! We only have about 3 more days here, which is CRAZY, and then we're off to Thailand!! This week I've been thinking a lot about my family. Growing up, they always taught me to be the first ones to start working and the last ones to leave. I learned to always "ask for your next job" until the work was completed. Whether it is doing service projects, cleaning up ward activities, or working on the playhouse, we always strive to follow that motto.  In the Book of Mormon, the brother of Jared and his family were living in a place called Moriancumer. THAILAND!!

Helloooo from Thailand!! I am so sorry I don't have a lot of time today, but I will try to send a longer email next week! It's official! I got here last week, and it's been crazy but so so good! My trainer's name is Sister Skidmore and she is absolutely AMAZING! I am so so blessed to be with her, and she knows literally everything haha. I am so excited to learn from her! I am in Hua Hin and I LOVE the people here! The hardest part has been the culture shock. But I have found so much comfort in the Spirit! "for the Spirit is the same yesterday, today, and forever." - 2 Nephi 2:4 No matter where we are, the spirit and the gospel are the same for all of God's children. I have never been more grateful for this truth, but I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ is the only way to find true peace because His Spirit is consistent and constant.  I love you all!! Hello everyone!!  I wanted to thank you all for the thoughtful emails you sent me this week. They completely turned my week around and helped me feel so much love and positivity. I am so incredibly blessed to have friends and family like you supporting me while I am gone. Thank you for following the promptings of the Spirit. What may have seemed like small gestures to you were huge miracles in my life. Thank you for being such amazing examples to me! I love you all!! This week has been a rollercoaster! But so so good!! I love my district more and more every day, and it is so hard to imagine being a missionary without them. I can't wait for these next 10 days together!  Probably the hardest part about being in the MTC is not having children in my life! I miss them sooooo much!
