SONGKRAN
Hey everyone! Happy Songkran!!
Songkran is the celebration of the Thai New Year and is basically just a 3-day, country-wide, massive water fight. It is awesome haha. It was such a fun opportunity to get to know the culture better by playing and celebrating with our friends and members!
Everything else has been going great! We have a constant supply of mangos and bananas from our friends haha. Before my mission, I didn't like mangos. But now I eat at least one every day, and they are SO GOOD!
Recently, I have been studying many talks by President Oaks. He is an incredible servant of the Lord, and I believe that he is God's prophet on earth today! I want to invite you all to read his first-ever general conference address called "Why Do We Serve?"
President Oaks gives some great counsel about the relationship between our desire and our service. I invite you all to read it and think about where you are. Why do YOU serve? How can you change your desire to be more Christlike?
I promise that Heavenly Father will give you opportunities to change your desires through your service.
I love you all!
Have a great week!
Shout-out to my mom, who is graduating on Friday!!
One of the strongest, smartest, and most Christ-like people I know. I am so proud of you, Mom, for following the plan that God has for you!
Everyone, please spoil her for me!!
Talk to you next week!
